On Friday evening, July 22, 2016, at the Santa Clara Convention Center, Juliet Johnson won the title of Golden State Teen Ambassadress at the California State Youth Accolades Scholarship Competition. For her on stage talent she performed a contemporary dance to “Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone”. The competition finals took place on Thursday & Friday, July 21-22 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
Juliet is a 14-year-old Sophomore at West Campus High in Sacramento. She is active in her school, participating in Soccer, Debate, Drama, and Leadership Class. She is also an Office Assistant and participated in the Hack-a-thon and the West Campus Engineering Program.
Juliet has maintained a 4.0 GPA, has an English Language Arts Special Honor, a Science Academic Achievement Award, is an Optimist Club Essay Contest Winner and a Lions Club Speech Contest Winner. She won 1st Place at the Speech/Debate Tournament and was the Individual Winner (Dramatic Interpretation Category),a Creative Communication Poetry Winner, and a Soccer Semi-Finalist, Varsity Letter.
Her passion is dance. She has 12 Years of Dance Instruction including Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Modern, African. She also enjoys singing, piano and composing music.
